If the first quarter truly foreshadowed what lay ahead,this year’s languishing exit activity would dampen the spirits of the even the most optimistic venture capitalist. Fortunately for these investors, the first three months may prove to be just a blip on the radar.
Looking ahead, there are some promising signs. The IPO pipeline remains strong, with 45 U.S. companies at the end of the first quarter and in the first month of the second quarter, the suddenly volatile IPO market kicked into high gear.
